How much a
negative attitude towards sexuality still
characterizes the Catholic Church today: 1. Marital sexuality also reduces closeness to God: "The ideal of celibacy and virginity for the sake of greater
nearness to God..." (From "Mulieris dignitatem";
Apostolic Exhortation of August 15, 1988; from Pope John Paul II.) 2. Abstinence from sexuality as one of the "Evangelical
counsels" is "recommended to every disciple of Christ." (From: Catechism of the Catholic Church; 1992; No. 915) 3. Sexuality in marriage, which has become fruitful even in the child,
causes the child in the womb to be possessed by the devil: That is why the Catechism of the Catholic Church says;
No. 1237: "Because baptism is a sign of liberation from sin and its
instigator, the devil, an exorcism (or several) is performed on the person to
be baptized." Therefore, in the view of the Catholic Church, a newborn child is
still "in the power of darkness" (Catechism of the Catholic Church,
No. 1250). This means in the sense of the exorcism "in the power of
Satan". 4. Sexuality in marriage also makes you “unclean”: In the song "Es ist ein
Ros entsprungen" (German Church Songbook, Nr.
243) it says in the 2nd stanza: "By God's eternal counsel she gave birth to a child and STILL
remained a pure maid." The virginity of Mary, understood biologically in the Catholic Church,
is celebrated in this way at Christmas. Commentary on this by Uta Ranke-Heinemann ("Eunuchs for the
Kingdom of Heaven"; 6th edition 2012; 569f.): "The 2,000-year history of sexual neurosis and disdain for women
has left such damage in the brains of Catholic women that every Christmas
they sing of their own impurity compared to Mary's purity." My request to the Vatican: Manfred
